about

Treespeak is an exploration of songwriting for didgeridoo. An instrument that isn't exactly the easiest to compose for. The result is an eclectic mix of music that reflects my interest in many different genres but still keeping a continuity throughout the album. Something that challenges my skills as a songwriter.

Many of the songs are for solo didgeridoo and others have accompanying instruments. Each have their own unique sound that features the versatility and expressive range of this instrument, giving the album as a whole a colorful palette of music. It's fun, quirky, lighthearted, thoughtful, pensive and everything in between.

TreeSpeak takes its name from the didgeridoo itself since it's traditionally made from wood. When one puts their breath through this instrument, it speaks and becomes a story teller through song. I love this aspect of didgeridoo as much as I like using it as an organic synthesizer.

Many thanks to Edward Zincavage for his awesome guitar and harmonica work on Bus Ride to Chiapas and his bass work on Jiriza. It wouldn't sound the same without it.

I hope you enjoy TreeSpeak as much as I did making it. Many thanks to those who have downloaded it. Your support means a lot! Oh, and if you really like the music, help spread the word by telling your friends.

Many thanks!!
